Susan Bradford, Speech/Language Pathologist - Director of Seashore Point’s Rehab Department
Sue has been rehab director at Seashore Point since May, 2010. A speech therapy professional for almost 25 years and a rehab manager for the last 15 years, she initially worked as an educational speech pathologist, focusing on learning disabled children for 10 years before making the switch to medically-based therapy with adults. Sue worked as Clinical Supervisor and Adjunct Professor at Worcester State College from 1990-2000. Sue is a Certified VitalStim therapist, able to provide this high-tech treatment for swallowing disorders to her patients at Seashore Point.

Sue made the move to the Cape in 2000. She lives in N. Eastham with her Rottweiler, Lucy. Her spare time is spent visiting with her sons and their families, and with friends and visitors to the Cape. Sue enjoys reading, gardening and, weather permitting, the many beaches and walking trails within the National Seashore. She is proud to be associated with Seashore Point and feels privileged to be able to lead one of the Cape’s finest rehab teams.

Cynthia Franco, Physical Therapist
Cindy has the longest tenure in Seashore Point’s rehab department. Joining the group in 2008, she has been the anchor for this rapidly growing department. She received her Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy in 1998.  Before coming to Provincetown she worked at an acute care hospital for 10 years in both the inpatient and outpatient clinic. She also worked for a private outpatient clinic and managed an evening therapy program for two orthopedic surgeons.

Cindy lives in Provincetown with her partner Gabby and serves on the Human Services Committee and the Board of Trustees at her condo complex. Growing up in New York, Cindy has stayed close to her Portuguese roots.  She is fluent in Portuguese and Spanish. She moved to Provincetown and came to work at Seashore Point because both have a strong sense of community and respect for cultural diversity.  In addition to acute/outpatient care Cindy has grown professionally here at Seashore Point, expanding her skills to include home care, short and long term rehab.  Cindy enjoys kayaking, cooking, spending time with her family & taking care of her numerous pets.

Anita Tyler, Occupational Therapist
Anita joined the Seashore Point Rehab Department in July, 2010.  A graduate of Quinnipiac College, she has been an OT since 1986.  Originally from Connecticut, she moved to Cape Cod in 1989.  Her work experiences include home care, inpatient, and outpatient therapy. Since working at Seashore Point, Anita has specifically focused on shoulder rehabilitation and has achieved some excellent outcomes. Anita says that she joined Seashore Point to be part of a strong talented team of therapists.

Anita and her husband Sanford have a daughter, Mckenzie, who is in elementary school. Kenzie keeps her mom busy taking her to music lessons, unicycling and various after-school activities. Anita has the greenest thumb in rehab, tending to her beautiful yard and gardens from early spring through the fall.

Wendy Katz, Physical Therapy Assistant
Wendy joined the Seashore Point Rehab Department in July, 2010.  She has lived on the Cape for 35 years, raising her 2 sons.  Wendy graduated from the Physical Therapy Assistant program at Cape Cod Community College in 1999.  She has worked in both inpatient long-term care and short-term outpatient rehab settings.  She especially enjoys working at Seashore Point because of the “sense of community” she experiences here.

Wendy is our resident gourmet, known to her friends for making fabulous meals at the drop of a hat.  She spends most of her time off (weather permitting) on the Outer Beaches in Orleans or boating with friends. This year she has generously shared the bounty of her clamming trips.

Jason Ruttan, Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant
Jason joined the rehab staff at Seashore Point in August, 2010. A graduate of Herkimer County Community College in New York in 1994, he was instrumental in developing a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant program for Greenfield Community College in Greenfield, MA. His skills as a COTA are most evident in the conscientious care he gives to his patients and to the outcomes they achieve.

Jason’s wife Laurie is also in the medical field. A fearless Yankee fan and devoted Patriots supporter, Jason enjoys golfing and has participated in the Seashore Point Golf Fundraiser for the past two years. A fantastic cook, Jason frequently shares his wonderful creations with the rehab staff.

Ann Darakjy, Administrative Assistant
Ann wears many hats with relative ease as she does a wide variety of tasks for the entire community team while working as receptionist for the rehab department.  Born in Boston and raised in Braintree, Ann has lived in Wellfleet for 37 years with her husband Brian.  Together they raised two daughters and a son.

After graduating college, Ann moved to the Cape and worked as a laboratory technician at AIM Medical Center which later became Outer Cape Health Services. Ann worked there for 20 years eventually becoming the laboratory supervisor.  Ann joined Seashore Point in 2004 as a Certified Nursing Assistant. As her responsibilities grew, her job changed and expanded.  She was promoted to Administrative Assistant over a year ago.

Ann loves to spend her personal time in her garden.  She is a talented seamstress able to create clothing items as well as home décor pieces.  She is an excellent cook as well, often bringing wonderful baked goods in to share with co-workers.
